The
history of the Oasis... Back in the middle
90s, I met my first Mastiff, Tessa. She was not from a known breeder and has no pedigree, but
she was incredibly sweet and loving. Thats where my appreciation and love for
the breed began. Tessa belonged to my dearest friends in the world, Jay & Rhonda
New. It would be several years before I was able to begin my life with Mastiffs, yet
I knew they were the breed for me! |

After buying my
first Mastiff puppy, I became involved in showing. The show bug bit HARD
and a few years later, Ive become completely immersed in my big babies. I sold
my home in the city to move into the country where I could have plenty of room of my
Mastiffs. I chose a home that was arranged perfectly for a multi-dog household.
Out went my cute little red sports car and in came a full sized SUV which I learned
rather quickly is STILL not big enough. The next venture is a motor home so that I
can travel easier with my Mastiffs. Gone are the days when vacations were planned
for exotic and interesting places; now vacations are planned around dog shows and the
national specialty. Gone are the days when a bag of dog food lasted for a couple of
weeks. Now, I have Canidae delivered by 18 wheeler by the pallet load! What a
change! Life at the Oasis revolves around caring for, training and loving each of my
furkids. |

After my first
two Mastiffs, I began to get an idea of what I truly wanted in a Mastiff including great
temperaments, good sound structure and thorough health testing of the parents. I
connected with several wonderful breeders and have embarked on my journey into the show
world with some beautiful dogs with wonderful pedigrees. My philosophy is that
anything worth doing is worth doing right!! I just had to learn what right was and
with the help of my last few breeders, Ive learned a great deal! |
