Thank you for stopping at the Oasis!

The history of the Oasis... Back in the middle 90’s, I met my first Mastiff, Tessa.  She was not from a known breeder and has no pedigree, but she was incredibly sweet and loving.  That’s where my appreciation and love for the breed began.  Tessa belonged to my dearest friends in the world, Jay & Rhonda New.  It would be several years before I was able to begin my life with Mastiffs, yet I knew they were the breed for me!

After buying my first Mastiff puppy, I became involved in showing.  The “show” bug bit HARD and a few years later, I’ve become completely immersed in my big babies.  I sold my home in the city to move into the country where I could have plenty of room of my Mastiffs.  I chose a home that was arranged perfectly for a multi-dog household.   Out went my cute little red sports car and in came a full sized SUV which I learned rather quickly is STILL not big enough.  The next venture is a motor home so that I can travel easier with my Mastiffs.  Gone are the days when vacations were planned for exotic and interesting places; now vacations are planned around dog shows and the national specialty.  Gone are the days when a bag of dog food lasted for a couple of weeks.  Now, I have Canidae delivered by 18 wheeler by the pallet load!   What a change!  Life at the Oasis revolves around caring for, training and loving each of my furkids.

After my first two Mastiffs, I began to get an idea of what I truly wanted in a Mastiff including great temperaments, good sound structure and thorough health testing of the parents.  I connected with several wonderful breeders and have embarked on my journey into the show world with some beautiful dogs with wonderful pedigrees.  My philosophy is that anything worth doing is worth doing right!!  I just had to learn what right was and with the help of my last few breeders, I’ve learned a great deal!

Please enjoy the pictures & stories on my website and feel free to write or call me with any questions you may have about Boston Terriers or Mastiffs.   Just be forewarned;  these are my FAVORITE topics & I can definitely talk about either subject for hours!  I’m truly worse than a new grandmother over my FUR BABIES!!
